Judith Leigh has been seriously writing since 1992. Her first book “A Father’s Hope,” was published in 2003 under the pen name of Judy Leigh Peters. Later she changed publishers and now writes as Judith Leigh for Highland Press. Judith Leigh is from Owego, New York but now resides with her hero-husband, David near the Suwannee River in Florida. Their screened-in front porch, with its view of the pine and oak treed country side, is the perfect place for Judith to tap away on her Laptop, creating novels she hopes readers will love.
She credits her love of reading and writing to her beloved mother Jeanne D Pabis. Later she was encouraged by her favorite English teacher, Mr. Rhoads. Her love of history came from having a teacher who made it so interesting you couldn’t help but fall in love with history. Thanks Mr. Gatto, you made it special. So it was only natural that Judith would make her first novel a historical romance. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and is the President of Ancient City Romance Authors of St Augustine, Florida. In addition, she is a member of First Coast Romance Writers, the Faith, Hope and Love Chapter, and the Florida Writers Association.
Writing is a consuming career and many times life steps in and takes over. It is very hard at times to balance the two. But she is a 21 year breast cancer survivor so she knows how to hang in there when life seems to overwhelm you. When she is not busy writing she enjoys spending happy moments with her grown children and eleven grandchildren who keeps her young. Her own real live hero hubby, David is now retired from the US Air Force after serving 28 years and is her number one editor and fan. Weekends are spent working at their small store in Lake Park, Georgia. Traveling is something else that both she and her hubby enjoy so their suitcases are always ready to go.
She welcomes comments from her readers. Email: judith@judithleigh.net
